The "A" Team...

Okay... so it's not that "A" Team....

Wednesday, October 22, Karai was able to make the opening kick off for the Freshman "A" team. Unfortunately, he was announced as the former wearer of number 41, but we knew it was him.

Also in the first quarter he kicked the extra point after his team scored the first touchdown of the game, putting them up 7-0. Again he was announced as London Lewis, so his mom had to go have a word with the announcer.

Keep in mind that it wasn't until the 5th game that the announcer would call him Kyle Karai. And then finally in their last "B" team game the announcer got it right and he was officially Karai Keil. It was a good thing too because he played corner on every single defensive play, as well as kicker, and slot receiver so they were saying his name a lot. I digress...

By the time he had made the kick off for his team, the announcer had it right. That was good because that was the last time he was in the game.

It was a great defensive game, very exciting. The final score was 7-6 so Karai was the hero of the week. This followed up the "A" team game against Gilbert that they won 42-40, in which they scored 7 touchdowns and not a single extra point.

Needless to say, he was feeling pretty good about himself. And his mom wasn't too upset by is lack of playing time since 2 of our players came off the field with knee injuries.

Tomorrow is the final game of the season against Hamilton. Hopefully, they can hold onto their undefeated season.

Go Karai! My Dad said he went to a game a couple of weeks ago to support someone he home teaches and Karai was there doing the kicking. I am always impressed by Karai and his ability to do any sport he chooses to do!!! Way to be the example!
