December 6

So....... December 6th

On January 10th.........

That seems to be how my life is going :)

Anyway, I was able to go to Walk, Jog, Run Club with Bryce after school. This is a great program run by a couple of the teachers at the Elementary school where they encourage the kids to be active. They run laps around the playground and then get charms when they reach 5, 10, and 15 miles totals. When they reach 20 miles they are given a medal.

For each lap they run they get a "dot" on their hand and then they total up the dots at the end of each day. And you have to appreciate that on December 6th they are in shorts and T-shirts :)!

After Bryce and I finished about 6 laps (a mile and 1/2), it was pick up Ally from cross country practice, home for homework and dinner, Dad to a soccer tournament game with Chase, and Karai and I to the football end of season banquet.

They prepared a very nice evening for all the players and families (although at $25 a head, not a lot of "families" came).

For those of you that work in the catering business with us you will have to appreciate this. The players had seats altogether in the front, and I was sitting in the back with the Bevan and the Curtis "families" (parents). I get a text from Karai which says "This place setting is totally unacceptable!"

It was pretty entertaining that after about 2 months of catering once a week, he is an "expert". Thank you Sylvia :). So of course, I had to take a picture of it!

After dinner they started the program for the evening. I am not even sure what all they did, but they handed out letter awards to each of the boys. And Senior awards, and coaches awards and "Player of the Week" awards, and MVP awards, and on and on and on.......

Karai was excited because he received a pin for a second year on varsity (now he just has to get the letter since this was his first year on varsity :)).

He also received an engraved football keychain for his "Player of the Week" status in the Gilbert game.

Afterwards, there were a few of them that wanted a picture with Coach Marsh. He started out with them as the Freshman "B" team coach and now they are big "Juniors".

Just 3 and 1/2 short hours later it was all over.

Now that that was over and done with, Karai could get a haircut and fix the "blonde".

Meanwhile, at the Tempe Sports Complex, Robert was enjoying a soccer game, which they won. Even without Karai, and Devin Foy, the starting keeper.
